Steps to Create a Playbook in HubSpot
Note: Playbooks are only available in HubSpot's Sales Hub Enterprise and Service Hub Enterprise plans.
1. Navigate to the Playbooks Tool
- Log in to your HubSpot account.
- Click on the Settings ⚙️ icon in the top-right corner.
- In the left sidebar, navigate to Objects > Playbooks.
2. Create a New Playbook
- Click the Create playbook button.
- Choose a playbook template or start from scratch.
3. Configure the Playbook
- Title: Give your playbook a clear, descriptive name.
- Content: Use text, bullet points, and sections to outline key talking points.
- Questions & Answers: Add interactive fields where reps can fill in responses.
- Embedded Properties: Link HubSpot CRM properties to update automatically as the playbook is used.
- Call Scripts & Checklists: Include scripts or checklists for consistency.
4. Set Up Automation (Optional)
- Use workflows to trigger actions when a playbook is used (e.g., log a call, create a task, update deal stages).
5. Assign Playbooks to Teams
- Use the Permissions settings to ensure the right teams can access the playbook.
6. Save & Publish
- Click Save or Publish to make the playbook live.
Using the Playbook
- When interacting with a contact, company, or deal record, go to the Playbooks section.
- Select a playbook, fill in the fields, and save the responses.
